Logging Into Falcon

Once you have been successfully registered signed up as a new Falcon user, you will have several login methods available including a Falcon password, Social Login, Single Sign-On (SSO), and the added protection of two-factor authentication.

In this article, find out more about the different login methods, how to get set up, and how to get logged in successfully.

What Login Methods are Available?

The following login options are available in Falcon:

Is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) available?

Yes - In addition to the above, it is also possible to require Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) when logging in using either your password or social login. All users can voluntarily set up 2FA, though your organization may also decide that it is a requirement for all users. You can find out more about 2FA in Falcon and how to get set up here. If you have already set up Single Sign-On (SSO), 2FA will not be required when logging in.

Is Social Login Required?

Social Login is voluntary. When you log into Falcon, you can set it up by following the steps in the guide here. Going forward, you will have the option to log in via Social Login, but you can always choose to use your Falcon password instead.

Is Single Sign-On (SSO) Required?

If Single Sign-On (SSO) has been implemented by your organization, it will be required that all users are authenticated this way, though exceptions can be made for external stakeholders in your Falcon organization. More information on setting up SSO can be found here.

What Will I Need?

When you are logging into Falcon, at first, you will only be required to enter the email address associated with your Falcon user.

Next, Falcon will determine which log in methods applies to your user based on whether or not you have already enrolled in 2FA, Social Login, or Single Sign-On (SSO).

Please see the guides below for each applicable login method.

Logging In with a Password

If you have not yet been set up with Social Login or SSO, you will be required to enter your Falcon password. Please see the below steps to get started:

  1. At the login page, enter your email address.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click Sign In. If you do not know your password, click Forgot Password? to reset it.
  5. You will be directed to the Falcon app Home page.

If you have already set up 2FA, you will be required to complete 2FA verification on your mobile device before being directed to the Home screen.

Logging In with Social Login

If you have already enrolled in Social Login through any available network (Google, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn), you will have the option to log in to Falcon via that network, instead of using your Falcon password. You can still decide to use your Falcon password instead. Please see the steps below:

  1. At the login page, enter your email address.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. For any applicable network, click Sign In With...
  4. A popup from the selected network will appear. Enter your login credentials for the network, or simply confirm if already logged in.
  5. After successfully logging in, you will be directed to the Falcon app Home page.

Alternatively, instead of signing in through Social Login, you can click Would you rather use your password? If selected, you will be prompted to enter your Falcon password as described above.

If you have already set up 2FA, you will be required to complete 2FA verification on your mobile device before being directed to the Home screen.

Logging In with SSO

If your organization has already set up Single Sign-On (SSO) in Falcon, you will always be required to log into Falcon via your third-party authentication provider. Please see the steps below:

  1. At the login page, enter your email address.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. You will be redirected to your third-party authentication provider.
  4. Following a successful authentication, you will be directed to the Falcon app Home page.

If set up with SSO, you will not have the option to log in using either your password or social login as an alternative.

Note:

If your Falcon organization has enabled Single Sign-On (SSO), by default all users will be required to log in using this method. However, exceptions can be made if, for example, external stakeholders do not utilize the same IdP as the rest of the organization. Please contact your organization's Customer Success Manager for help accommodating all users.
