Monitoring View in Listen

When you're viewing a Project in Listen, you can choose between four different views at the top of the page including: Insights, Comparison, Monitoring, and Mentions. Monitoring View allows you to keep an eye on multiple streams of Mentions in real time. You can view up to three customizable feeds at once either on your browser or in ‘TV Mode’.

Below, you can find out how to add and edit feeds, customize your view, and switch to TV Mode.

Adding, Editing, and Deleting Feeds in Listen Monitoring View

To get started, click ‘Add Feed’ on any empty feed in Monitoring View. Next, enter a title, click on any Topic to include it in your feed, then click ‘Save’.

Once you have created your new feed, you can click the pencil icon in the top right to edit or delete the feed. Next, choose a new title, click on a Topic to select/deselect it, or click ‘Delete’.

Listen Monitoring View Preferences

In Monitoring View in Listen, you can choose to edit your preferences for the display of your feeds at any time by clicking 'Last 24 Hours In’ from the top, right-hand side of the page. Any changes made to your preferences will be applied to all feeds.

In ‘Preferences’, you can adjust the following:

  • Time range for mentions to be included (How many hours or days in the past).
  • How often feeds will check for new mentions (e.g. Every 5 minutes or every 15 minutes).
  • Whether the feeds will automatically refresh with new mentions or display a notification.

TV Mode in Listen Monitoring View

To view your Mentions in TV mode, click into 'Monitoring' view at the very top of the page in Listen. Once you have set up your feeds in Monitoring view, you can click ‘TV Mode’ to open a larger display of your feeds, suitable for a TV display.

In TV Mode, your display may change based on the number of feeds you have created. However, you can always adjust the display by clicking the 'Preferences’ cog icon in the top right. In Preferences, you can use the dropdown to choose between a portrait or landscape TV view, and whether you want to see horizontal or vertical feeds.

To return to your desktop view, you can click ‘Desktop Mode’ in the top right.

Note:

While in TV Mode, it’s not possible to adjust the settings of your feeds or indexing preferences. These settings can only be adjusted in Desktop Mode.
