Replacement of Publish Labels Report and Facebook Channel Report | January 2021

In November, we announced the gradual replacement of Reports in Measure with our improved Measure Dashboards. On 21st January 2021, both the Publish Labels Report and the Facebook Channel Report were removed from Falcon and replaced with their counterparts in Measure Dashboards.

Please see below for more information on what was removed and how to continue reporting on your Publish Labels and Facebook Channels in Dashboards.

What Was Removed?

In response to the release of Measure Dashboards in 2020, we announced that all legacy Measure Reports (found under the ‘Reports’ tab in Measure) will eventually be removed and replaced with their equivalent reporting methods in our new Measure Dashboards (found under the ‘Dashboards’ tab).

When we made the announcement, almost all metrics found in Reports could already be viewed in Dashboards (with the addition of many new metrics which can be found here), though we had yet to remove any legacy Report templates from Falcon. On January 21st, we began by removing only two legacy Reports; the Publish Labels Report and the Facebook Channel Report. Please see below for a breakdown of what is no longer accessible:

  • Any existing Publish Labels Reports and Facebook Channel Reports.
  • The option to create new Publish Labels Reports and Facebook Channel Reports.
  • All data available in Publish Labels Reports and Facebook Channel Reports (for example, Facebook data included in any Custom Reports).
  • Any future scheduled Publish Labels Reports and Facebook Channel Reports.

While only Publish Labels Reports and Facebook Channel Reports were removed on 21st January, any other type of Report, such as Instagram or Twitter Channel Reports, Team Performance Reports, or Engage Labels Reports will all remain for now, along with the option to create new Reports using these templates. You can also create new Custom Reports, though the option to include Facebook as a source will be removed.

Further announcements will be made when we get closer to removing any further Measure Reports.

Reporting on Publish Labels in Dashboards

To continue reporting on your Publish content by label, we recommend that you create a new Content Performance Dashboard in Measure. To get started, you can go to Measure > Dashboards > Create Dashboard > Content Performance or follow our Help Center guide to creating Dashboards here.

Your Content Performance Dashboard will display your Channel’s posts from your chosen timeframe, along with any 5 metrics of your choice and summarized totals. At any time, you can easily apply a labels filter which will allow you to include or exclude posts with any labels, posts without labels, posts matching certain labels, or posts matching any of your chosen labels.

Below, you can see a full feature comparison for reporting on labels through Reports and Dashboards:

Reporting on Facebook Channels in Dashboards

In our Measure Dashboards, we offer a new, improved, and much more diverse template for reporting your Facebook Channels. You can select a Facebook Overview Dashboard by going to Measure > Dashboards > Create Dashboard > Facebook Overview.

The Facebook Overview Dashboard focuses on core KPIs for your Facebook Channels. It covers fans, reach, engagement, video consumption, demographics, content performance and more. FAQs

Will I lose any data if I switch from Reports to Dashboards?
No, Falcon retains the same data (and more) for you in Dashboards as we did in Reports. If you view the same metrics in Dashboards which were available in your Reports, you will be able to view the same amount of historical data.
Will any metrics from Reports not be available in Dashboards?
Dashboards offer a much wider selection of metrics than we had available in Reports. However, the Facebook metric, ‘Fans by City’ (which was available in our Reports), is not yet available in Dashboards. We will include this metric in Dashboards in 2021.
Scheduling Reports has been a useful feature. How can I achieve the same with Dashboards?
The Public Dashboards feature offers the possibility to share your Dashboard with anyone through a link. You can set a date range of the ’Last x days’ to automatically update the report with the latest data each time you visit it. You can add the link to the Public Dashboard to, for example, a recurring calendar meeting so that you can review your performance at a regular interval, such as every week or month.
My legacy Measure Reports were shared with my team in Falcon by default. Can I share Dashboards in the same way?

Allowing you to share a Dashboard within a team in Falcon will be a priority for us in 2021. We will update you with further announcements as we get closer to this feature. In the meantime, our Public Dashboards can be used to share a customized Dashboard with your team.

Alternatively, unlike Reports (which can only be created by those with a Team Leader or Admin user role), Dashboards can be created by any user role using the same Dashboard Templates as the rest of the team.

Will the Instagram and Twitter Channel Reports get deprecated too?
On January 21st, 2021, only the Facebook Channel Report and the Publish Labels Report were removed. However, the Instagram Channel Reports and Twitter Channel Reports will eventually be removed and replaced with their counterparts in Dashboards. We will make further announcements ahead of time, but in the meantime, we would recommend that you check out the improved reporting for these networks already by creating an Instagram Overview Dashboard or a Twitter Overview Dashboard.
Will you deprecate the legacy Engage Label Report and Team Performance Report?
We currently don’t offer any alternative reporting methods for Engage Labels or Team Performance in Dashboards yet. As such, there are no immediate plans to remove the Engage Labels Report or the Team Performance Report from Measure. However, we will make further announcements on the status of both reports if anything changes in the future.
Can I still click on each post to view a detailed post performance breakdown?

In Dashboards, we offer many more metrics to choose from than we had available in Reports, though it's only possible to view a maximum of five metrics at a time on any Content Performance widget. Clicking on a post won't expand it to show additional metrics.

To view additional metrics for your posts, we recommend that you add a new Content Performance widget to your Dashboard (Pencil icon > '+ Add New Widget' > 'Content Performance') then select an additional five metrics of your choice.
