Scheduling the First Comment of an Instagram Post

Your Instagram posts can look a lot better with your hashtags in the first comment instead of in the post description. It has become common practice for brands to create the first comment immediately after creating the post itself.

Falcon lets you easily plan your first comment together with your main post, from inside the Post Editor. Even if you're publishing at odd hours, you can have Falcon automatically leave the first comment right after publishing your post. For any Instagram image or video post, you can follow the below instructions to add your first comment:

  1. Create a standard Instagram image or video post.
  2. After you've added your content, click the 'Add first comment' button below your media file(s).
  3. Add your text in the textbox for the first comment. You can add a maximum of 30 hashtags, and a total of 2200 characters.
  4. Once you're happy with your post, click the Publish, Schedule, or 'Send for Approval' button.

First comments are currently not supported for posts published through the mobile Hub app or for posts created in the Quick Publish mobile app.
